About me

I teach what I have lived through.

I'm Fedor Simonov, head teacher and co-founder of Vision Akademie and developer of a method for natural vision improvement.

The beginning

I used to be short-sighted. When I first became interested in improving my eyesight, I thought it would be simple: find some eye exercises, make a plan, follow it. Life showed me it doesn't work that way.

I restored my eyesight all the same — and was surprised how simple it really is once you work in the right places. Since 2007 I have been observing and talking to people with very different vision problems. I realised that eye exercises alone are not enough: posture, tension, habits and the mind all play a part.

The path

I found the answers in Qigong, the traditional Chinese health practice with its techniques of self-regulation, in modern methods of body awareness and in many years of working with experienced ophthalmologists in Europe. Over time this became a method that works with the eyes, the body, posture and tension all at once.

On the road since 2008

Since 2008 I have been giving courses and seminars in Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Spain, Russia and other countries — ten in total. Today my home ground is Germany and Switzerland: regularly in Frankfurt with the Frankfurter Ring and in Basel with the Basler Psi-Verein, and once a year with a group on the Adriatic coast in Montenegro.

What defines my work

Qigong

I am a Qigong practitioner and work with techniques of the body's self-regulation — gentle, safe, at your own pace.

Holistic

My fields are personal development, natural health, diagnostics and health guidance. For me, eyes are never just eyes.

Systematic

I hold an MBA from the Presidential Management Training Programme — and I bring that eye for structure and measurable progress into every class.

Vision Akademie is a small team. I teach together with other teachers — in German, English and Russian.
